It was my full intention to write a complete, in-depth comparison of the Android keyboard on the T-Mobile MyTouch 3G vs. the keyboard on the iPhone 3G/3GS, but why go to all of that trouble when someone else has done it better than I think I ever could.

I recently started following @robertnlee on Twitter. He seems like a wealth of knowledge about technical subjects, especially Android. Since the purpose of this site is to help educate others in regards to Android, without further adieu I present to you Robert’s excellent post: http://bit.ly/nvkep (<–the link he posted on Twitter) Full link so you know it isn’t a Rick-roll: http://ignorethecode.net/blog/2009/08/07/virtual-keyboards-on-iphone-and-android/
Update: Doh! Apparently @robertnlee posted the link, but the blog post was actually written by @LKM.

I've started to use Better Keyboard by Better Android, instead of the keyboard that comes installed on the myTouch. Better Keyboard functions as its name applies, or so it would seem from limited testing.
Instead of Better Keyboard, I downloaded and installed the HTC keyboard from XDA, and it works like a champ! Thanks for the heads-up about Better Keyboard.
How did you find it? I've done all the searches I can think of and it's not coming up!
